Membership

The philosophy and purpose of the Kitchener-Waterloo Oldtimers’ Hockey Club Inc. is: “to provide recreation enjoyment for its members in a game that is played safely and fairly within the rules. The name of the game is FUN for all members and winning is secondary.”

To become a member for our 2023-24 season, fill out an Application and Waiver Form.

Health Tips

Pre-game warm up – stretch, skate a few laps and then stretch again.

Don’t eat a large meal or drink alcohol before a game.

Notify your captain of medical conditions (history of strokes/heart attacks, high blood pressure, diabetes, medical alert bracelet, existing injuries, etc.) in case anything happens during the game.

Awards

At the 2022 AGM the Jack Kirby Oldtimer of the Year Award was presented to Steve Holst, a goalie in our C division. Steve’s consistent strong play was one thing, it was his perseverance in playing through injuries for the entire season that maintained the respect his team and his peers hold for him. He is a very worthy model of the theme for this award ‘for sportsmanship above and beyond the call of duty’.
