Jack Kirby Award – “ Oldtimer Of the Year”

Glenn Reist is the winner of the Oldtimer of the Year for the season 2017-18. His time on the ice has spanned several decades. Glenn played varsity hockey for the Queens Golden Gaels while attending university. He grew up in Kitchener but lived a lot of his adult life in Mississauga. After retirement Glenn and his wife Amy moved back to Kitchener. One of the first things he did was to sign up for the K-W Oldtimers. He played a couple of pool games and became a regular in 2002 and continued playing until the end of the past season at the age of 90. He even made the local TV news when he was featured in a segment by Randy Steinman that showcased his momentous achievement. Congratulations, Glenn, on a long and memorable hockey career!
